Let's Get Back To Nature

The industrial revolution and the 20th Century brought us many great things, there is no denying that. With it, though, came a widened gap between humans and nature – one that seems to become wider every day. Why is this? Why did this happen? Do we really realize it? Is it important to help close the gap? Were we destined to become civilians of a modern-day, mechanized, chemical society?

Ponder these questions for a bit and come to your own reflection. There is likely to be a lot of gray areas in the answers – it is not a black-and-white scenario.

Many of us would never dream of giving up our modern conveniences, and that is fine, there are some great ones! You are using one of the greatest ones right now – the Internet. The thing is, there is a fine line between using a modern invention that enriches lives, and using something unnecessary, like, say, substituting artificial ingredients in place of natural ones.

So that is where the core of “let’s get back to nature” lies. Is it really necessary to utilize man-made ingredients in place of natural ones? If you look past the concept of money – then you will see that the answer is likely an overwhelming “no”.

Why does there seem to be so many food products out there made with unnatural ingredients most people cannot even pronounce? Why are cosmetics and hygiene products made with ingredients that are not natural? Why do so many companies seem to use unsustainable practices when producing their products? The likely answer is within the mighty dollar – higher profits and lower cost of production.

Most of the mega-corporations don’t care about you or the environment – they just care about having a healthier bottom-line. So does that make you healthy yourself? Probably not. When you consume all of these unnatural substances, you are taking in substances that were developed in the past 25-50 years or so and do not have a track record long enough to determine their true effects. Yeah, they may have been tested on animals in a laboratory with no short-term effects and then approved for use, but how do we know the real long-term ramifications? Is it just coincidence that cancer rates have skyrocketed in the 20th century?

Not saying that all artificial substances are carcinogenic or harmful, but why do companies really need to use them, aside from the profit motive?

So why not “get back to nature”? There are so many nature-based and natural products out there, that it at least is surely worth a look. The mega-corporations don’t want you to think for yourself. They want you to follow their lead and think that the only way to fit in to society is to have their products, which must be the best because they say so. Just because they are everywhere does not mean that they are the best!

You have the power to choose, now more than ever! You have the power to choose to live a healthier life. You have the power to choose to make a difference in the environment. You have the choice to use higher-quality products. Naturalopolis.com is here to bring you these choices!
