(I know this review is pretty long, but I just adore Shaklee natural health products so I thought Shaklee deserved a long, in-depth review. So please bear with me.)

Wow, that statement is so simple, yet so powerful. For people like you and me who strive to live in balance with nature, it can be saddening to live in this era where few companies realize how important it is to respect nature and our planet. Thank goodness though for Shaklee...they get it! Caring for our environment and living in harmony with nature are absolutely at the core of everything that Shaklee does and all Shaklee natural health products.

Shaklee was even the very first company in the world to achieve a climate neutral certification and completely offset their CO2 emissions. If you ever find a company that’s even close to their level of environmental commitment you let me know.

- 106 clinical trials published in highly-respected journals: Now this is impressive to me. Being a science nerd I always look for quality scientific studies and guess what? So far, Shaklee is one of the very few natural health product companies with legitimate science backing up their products. I’ve personally read through most of these studies and can vouch for the quality of the experimental design and the statistical analysis. Ok ok, in non-geek speak…there’s no funny business going on here, just legitimate science you can trust.

Not-So-Good Stuff:

- Although Shaklee skin care, hair care, and makeup products are great, I think other companies offer better. Read about our recommended natural skin care, hair care and makeup.
- Vegetarian/vegan products are not listed as such so you must diligently check the ingredient labels before you buy.
- Shaklee is a network marketing (or multi-level marketing) company which as a general business model has a bad reputation. If you’re not familiar with those terms, basically a network marketing company has many independent distributors that contract with the company to sell their products. A lot of people don’t like network marketing companies because most of them have poor quality products and their independent distributors are forced to focus most of their efforts on recruiting others into the business opportunity (i.e. building their down line) instead of selling products.

Therefore, I was really skeptical about Shaklee at first. But after trying most of their products, I now truly feel that they are different and that all their products are of exceptional quality. After all, I wouldn’t be including them on Naturalopolis.com unless all Shaklee natural health products were phenomenal.

I’m not an independent distributor with Shaklee. So if you’d like to work one-on-one with a Shaklee natural health products distributor (you don’t have to of course) you can find one a couple of ways. When you order products through the Shaklee corporate website you can request to have a distributor contact you. Or, you can find a Shaklee distributor on the WAHM (“Work at Home Moms”) message boards. And of course you can type “Shaklee” in your favorite search engine and sort through a bunch of distributor websites that way.
